ד"ר ירדנה קול בעלת תואר שלישי במhנהל צבורי ורשיון לעסוק כאחות מוסמכת. במהלך 30 השנים האחרונות ניהלה מחלקה לתכנון ופיתוח מקצועי בהנהלה הראשית של כללית באגף האחות הארצית, לרבות ביצוע מחקרים בתחום הבריאות והסיעוד, פיתוח רשומה רפואית ממוחשבת והנחיות מקצועיות. היתה מנהלת הסיעוד בבי"ח קפלן במשך 13 שנה וב- 5 שנים אחרונות מנהלת האקדמיה לסיעוד מאיר.
