About

Dr. Vinizky was a candidate for the position of Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel in 2021.

Dr. Chagai Vinizky is a Senior Lecturer on Property Law (including Intellectual Property) Contract Law, Class Actions, Commercial Law, Judea and Samaria law, and director of legal clinics at the Academic College of Law & Science. He is the Head of the Begin Institute of Law and Zionism, and a military judge (reserves) since 2004. LLB, LLM, and PhD from the Faculty of Law of Bar-Ilan University. Dr. Vinizky was a member of a professional team appointed by Prime Minister of Israel to formulate an outline for regulating construction in Judea and Samaria (2015-2018) and was one of the leaders in the legislative process of the Basic-Law: Israel - The Nation State of the Jewish People. Dr. Vinizky published a book on class actions (with Adv. Aviel Flint) and a book on real estate transactions and land registration in Judea and Samaria, edited two books in the fields of real estate law, international law, and commercial law in Judea and Samaria (with Dr. Harel Arnon) and a book in relation to Sale Authorization in the Sabbath Year (Shmitah), published articles, some in collaboration with others, in the fields of Property Law, Contract Law, Intellectual Property, Class Actions, the law applicable in Judea and Samaria, including the application of International Law and constitutional aspects of prosecuting terrorists. The articles have been published in legal books and in law journals in Israel and the United States. Dr. Vinizky authored position papers on the Basic-Law: Israel - The Nation State of the Jewish People (with Dr. Shaul Sharf) and on the application of Israeli law in the Jordan Valley, Judea, and Samaria. Dr. Vinizky has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 1998 and has been a substitute member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe on behalf of the State of Israel.
